At Hidden Harbors Senior Living and Memory Care Center, freshly nestled in the welcoming community of Saint Clair Shores, we're more than just a care center—we're a family. Position Overview:
Under the warm guidance of our Center Director, our direct care staff plays a pivotal role in offering nurturing support and care, creating a safe, comfortable environment where every resident feels thoroughly at home.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide empathetic care that recognizes individual needs, promotes independence, and upholds our residents' dignity.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care essentials, along with feeding, cleaning, and laundry tasks.
• Engage in meaningful interactions with residents, ensuring their engagement and participation in enriching activities.
• Additional responsibilities include meal preparation, general housekeeping, activity coordination, and medication management.

Qualifications and Skills Needed:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; further education is admired but not mandatory.
• At least two years of experience in a caregiving role preferred, demonstrating a history of reliability and love for elder care.
• Commitment to yearly training and development, including safety protocols, infection control, and emergency response.
• A deep-seated ability to forge and maintain respectful, caring relationships with residents and colleagues alike.
• Flexible scheduling capability to meet the dynamic needs of our residents and their families.
• Sensitive approach to a diverse cultural and demographic resident community.
• Ability to effectively interact with residents experiencing dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments.
• Health clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-the-minute immunizations before engaging in direct resident interactions.
• Adherence to State of Michigan regulations, with necessary certifications and training completed as required.

Working Environment:
You will be joining an 18-bed, memory care-focused community, where the health and safety of our residents and staff are prioritized. Please note, the role involves variable exposure to communicable diseases and some use of cleaning chemicals and medication handling.
